We went hiking today with a friend who hasn’t had much exposure to Lily. After being in her presence for a few hours, he concluded that talking with her is like talking to a little adult. He seemed pleased with her ability to communicate and articulate her thoughts so completely.
She managed quite well all over rocks, cactus, grasses, across a creek, up some rock stairs, and even ventured under a bridge. She showed some concern when the wind about give her flight, but otherwise, she seemed entirely confident and pleased with herself and the assistance of the many strong hands that were at her disposal.
She continues to confidently address other adults, with whom she has just become acquainted with.
Today, Russ noticed she could read/identify the word “exit” on the remote – and match it to the command at her will.
I downloaded a bunch of new games and apps for her tablet tonight and she is very pleased.
