Jessica, the 7 year old gold fish ($.12 feeder) is dead.
BUT…
Take heart.. She’s not just dead… She’s SUPER DEAD!
Lily identified the fish as, well, not breathing nor moving a couple of mornings ago. We’d expected this and moved her to her own tank for the duration. She was rather old, after all.. though there may have been other issues we aren’t aware of.
“Yep, she’s not breathing. Like this (demonstrates) is how she’s for pose to.”
“Ah, you’re right…”
“Mama, why isn’t she? Is she not alive anymore? I’m alive still.”
“Yes, you are quite alive, and not, she definitely isn’t.”
“Oh…. (walks over by the tank, which is sitting on the floor) Well, that’s ok cuz she sure is a Super Dead Fish (superhero style)!”
“Yes, she is.. that…”
It went on… We now have Jessica, the Super Dead Fish, Immortal.
