I have not had my mind in a position of late to focus on the things that really matter. I have had to split me into so many directions lately that I’m missing crucial stuff with Lily, and it’s making me nuts.
She and the neighborhood kids set up a theatre in here last week; she has continued play and yesterday engaged me first thing after waking. She made me tickets for my order. “Coffee”.
She made a coffee ticket for Russ later in the day too. The first time, the “c” was inverted, the second time, the letters are entirely clear. And then… she decided she couldn’t write any more.
Lily is at the stage where reading and writing is great, if she has initiated it, is competing with another kid, can teach it, or just plain has some reason she feels like it. Otherwise, it’s too hard, too much work, takes too long, etc….. Enter my laptop, her tablet, Android, or other digital device. 🙂
