Today Kala worked work me to install a Linux/Chromium build on a couple of the old systems we’re revitalizing from the local Lutheran school.
She had to observe how all connections we’re made, how to interrupt the boot sequence, how to choose a boot device, and walk through the os install.
She’s never worked with hardware like this at all (older desktop systems), nor ever interfaced with operating system maintenance.
After successfully helping integrate the new os, she also helped install the revised systems at the school, while helping keep her brother and sister cared for, while I chased down network and printing issues.
