Cecily launched herself into the realm of

in, un, an,
and FROG, TREE, FREE, and other 4 letter words today. And to think, just yesterday I was commenting on a current assessment that she hadn’t yet developed a comprehension that spanned greater than 3 letters. WELL…….. THAT was yesterday.
We used the letters on the fridge today – worked for probably 10 minutes while she cleaned out the cool whip container, with both hands.
She has a solid grasp of phoneme exchange and interchanging. She also seems to be rapidly developing site recognition, which until now there has been very little (Mama, Papa, Lily only). Presently, she demonstrates a preference and strength for phonetic reasoning and combinations, but today she showed a newly developed sight recognition in quite a few cases.
She knows ST, so now today we’re going to focus on exploring CH, SH, and maybe ER.
