Lils has decided to continue her communications via email with the fairies… and she’s added Merida.

I think Lily combines Merida (Brave) and her archery, brilliance, determination and fire with the fairies and their spirit and talent.

Periwinkle went missing around Thanksgiving. Fairies depart and return at will around here, and we’re still never certain whether it’s intentionally orchestrated by Lily, or she’s simply misplaced them and find them… We never know which it is with the various fairies that have come, left, and returned. Peri may not return without assistance, at this juncture however. Lils is trying… she’s writing her in effort to get her to come, since sending out her message vocally has yet to work, and she misses Peri so. Err…. Paree.
Here are her latest messages:
Paree, This is Papa, typing for Lily:
I hope you will come back.
Love, Lily (and Papa)

Hi Lily,
I got your message about how cold and wintery it is at your house now.
I have been busy with Santa and the Elves, giving messages for special hopes from kids all over the earth.
I hope to come back and see you and my other fairy friends very soon… just a bit more to do and I will come back.
I hope your day is full of happy, shiny, frosty smiles!
Paree

Lily agrees and states that I’m the Queen (because I need a part and the Queen is an open character that makes sense to her), but that I’m a nice one that doesn’t think Merida (Lily) has to do stuff just because somebody says so.
It makes me smile that she’s assigned me as the queen/mother figure (logical) with the characteristics attributed to Merida (16 year old that defies expectation and seeks her own path). Cecily is, as always, articulate, intrinsically intuitive, and perceptive. She sounds like a little Scott now too. 😉
When cold winds are calling,
And the sky is clear and bright,
Misty mountains sing and beckon,
Lead me out into the light.
Where dark woods hide secrets,
And mountains are fierce and bold,
Deep waters hold reflections,
Of times lost long ago.
I will hear their every story,
Take hold of my own dream,
Be as strong as the seas are stormy,
And proud as an eagle’s scream.
I will ride, I will fly,
Chase the wind and touch the sky
