Oh what Lily can learn from a simple visit to Burger King’s Playland.
1. She is not the only one afraid of that damn bird thing they have suspended 20′ in the air.
2. Papa can actually fit through the entire maze of tubes and slides, especially when his little girl calls for his help because she’s afraid and needs him.
3. Going up a slide, especially one that is a tube and has 4 complete spiral turns in it’s length, is not a good idea.
4. Yelling at the kid whose foot lands square into your head is not really very productive if you intend to be friends.
5. Continuing to cry scares the kid, who doesn’t understand and didn’t mean to hurt anyone, and is now in with his parents because he feels awful. It also elicits an apology from said kid, who is inquired of as to whether it was intention by injured kid’s mama, in front of injured kid, in hopes that injured daughter/kid realizes the “accident” status, and gives offending kid a break. Injured kid doesn’t get the hint.
6. Offending kid gives up. Entire family leaves.
7. Mama utters, “Ah hell..”
8. Injured daughter is a parrot.
9. Somewhere in there Papa is really annoyed because he’s tired. Daughter is injured, and sulking. Other kids don’t want to play with her for whatever reason (they don’t speak the same language has NOTHING to do with it), and daughter is still sulking, now even more.
10. When Mom refuses to recognize the signs that daughter is done, worn out, kapeesh!!! Father has to step in and remind everyone… Daughter falls asleep within 3 minutes of car ride home commencing.
Lessons learned?
maybe.
