We read this book together this morning. All 60 pages. This is the first time Lily has chosen to finish a book this size. There are three stories within and usually, she’d only want to read one at a sitting.
She infused her reading with feeling and interest, instead of monotoning this time too. Sometimes she enjoys the material enough to infuse it with flavor, and other times she’s just willing to, but most often it’s a challenge and she reads as if she were utterly exhausted.
I liked the book overall, but edited as there was just too much diminishing included. Maybe I’ll take up writing a kid series that upholds children and adults, and brings the playing feels into an equal balance, as this seems sadly and significantly missing in this genre.
